On October 1, 2026, I organized a workshop for mathematics and science teachers in Kwadaso, Kumasi, Ghana.
The workshop featured 40 elementary and junior high school teachers who participated in hands-on activities to integrate equitable pedagogical practices into their lessons to support marginalized students in their classrooms. Teachers were excited about the opportunity to participate in the workshop and called for more such workshops to help them build on their learning. Martin Ako, the organizer of the workshop, promised to plan future workshops as funds become available to support teachers as his way of giving back to the community.
